WeeFindPro Privacy Policy
Provisional version — 2026-10-21-provisional
Effective: on publication
This policy may be updated after a legal review; if it changes, we will notify users before the new version takes effect.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
WeeFindPro ("WeeFindPro", "we", "us") operates the WeeFindPro marketplace at weefindpro.com and in the WeeFindPro Android app. The platform connects clients who need home services with independent professionals (cleaners, plumbers, electricians, landscapers and others), and lets referral partners recommend it.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses WeeFindPro in the United States: visitors, clients, professionals and partners.
Professionals are independent businesses or individuals, not part of WeeFindPro. When a professional uses information outside the platform (for example, when they come to your home), they are responsible for how they handle it.
Contact for any privacy question or request: contact@weefindpro.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
Everyone who creates an account
- E-mail address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form; we also keep the hashes of earlier passwords so that an old password cannot be reused.
- First and last name.
- Date of birth, which we use to confirm that you are 18 or older.
- Gender, as asked in the sign-up form.
- Preferred language (English or Spanish).
- An address, entered during sign-up. We convert addresses into map coordinates (see Section 5) to find professionals near you and to calculate distances.
Clients
- Additional service addresses you save.
- A phone number, if you add one, which we confirm with a code sent by text message.
- Your requests: the service, your answers to the questions about the job, your description, the date and time you choose and the service address.
- Messages you write in the chat with a professional.
- Ratings and reviews you give professionals.
- Messages you send to our support.
Professionals
- A phone number, confirmed with a code sent by text message.
- Profile photo, languages you speak and your level in each.
- If you register a company: company name, description, year founded, number of staff, Employer Identification Number (EIN) and the business e-mail you choose for proposals.
- Your address and the distance you are willing to travel.
- The services you offer, your visit fee, service photos and your logo.
- The proposals you prepare (items, prices, terms) and the documents generated from them.
- The star ratings you give clients and the messages you write in the chat.
Partners
- Partner type (for example, real estate broker, condominium administrator or architect) and your referral code.
2.2 Payment information
All payments go through Stripe, our payment processor.
- Clients: card details are typed directly into Stripe's payment form; we never see or store the full card number. Your card may be saved with Stripe so you can reuse it; you can remove saved cards in your account. We store a Stripe customer reference and the details of each payment: amounts, status, refunds and reference numbers. Stripe sends payment receipts to your e-mail address.
- Professionals: to receive payouts you open a Stripe account through Stripe's own onboarding pages. Stripe collects the identity and banking details it requires there (which may include your Social Security Number or EIN, date of birth, address and bank account), under Stripe's own privacy policy. We do not store those details. We receive from Stripe only status information: your Stripe account reference, whether onboarding is complete, whether you can receive charges and payouts, what information Stripe still needs and the country of the account.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages and features requested and the time of each request. We use it to keep the platform secure, to limit repeated or automated requests (including requests for text-message codes) and to fix problems.
- Activity records: the status history of requests and payments, notifications, when chat messages are read, and records of your sign-in sessions (when a session was created, last used and when it expires).
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.
2.4 Information from other sources
- Stripe: the status of a professional's payout account, and events about payments, refunds and disputes.
- Other users: reviews and ratings about you, and the requests clients send you.
- Partners: if you sign up through a partner's link or code, we record which partner referred you.
- Twilio: whether a verification code you received was confirmed.
- Amazon Web Services: the map coordinates of the addresses you enter.
We do not offer sign-in with Google, Facebook or other social accounts.
3. How we use information
- To create and run your account and to sign you in.
- To show professionals in search results and calculate distances.
- To send requests to professionals, manage acceptance, rescheduling, cancellation and completion, and run the in-app chat.
- To process the visit payment: authorize your card, charge it when the professional accepts, make refunds and pay professionals.
- To calculate and pay partner commissions.
- To confirm e-mail addresses and phone numbers.
- To review professional profiles and photos before they appear in search.
- To send the e-mails and in-app notifications the service needs (Section 7).
- To publish reviews and ratings.
- To provide support, handle complaints and disputes, and keep records of what happened.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts and keep the platform secure.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The platform does apply fixed, published rules automatically — for example the response, cancellation and payout timings in our Terms of Service — and Stripe screens card payments for fraud.
4. What other users can see
Professional profiles
- Visitors who are not signed in see a professional's first name and last initial, city, the names of the services offered, the average rating and number of ratings, and verification badges.
- Signed-in clients see the full profile: full name, profile photo, logo and service photos, company name and description, languages, services with prices, reviews, city and verification badges.
- Profile photos, logos and service photos are stored so that anyone who has the direct link to an image can open it.
Reviews: reviews of professionals are public on the professional's profile, shown with the reviewer's first name. The star ratings professionals give clients are not public; they are visible to professionals using the platform.
Requests
- Before accepting a request, the professional sees your first name and last initial, the job details, and the ZIP code, district (if any) and city of the service address.
- Once the professional accepts, they also receive your full name, e-mail address, main phone number and the full service address, so they can reach you and come to the visit.
Proposals: when a professional sends you a proposal, you receive it as a PDF by e-mail and in the app; the professional's business e-mail may appear as the reply-to address.
Partners: a partner sees, for each client who signed up with their code, only the client's first name and last initial, a masked e-mail address (for example m***@g***.com), the sign-up date and whether the account is active. The e-mail that tells a partner about a new referral contains the same first name and last initial.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
We share personal information with the providers below only as needed to run the platform.
| Provider | What it does for us | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS), United States | Hosts the application, the database, the session store and the server logs; stores images and proposal documents; sends our e-mails (Amazon SES); converts addresses into map coordinates (Amazon Location Service) | All the information described in this policy |
| Stripe | Card payments, saved cards, refunds, disputes, payouts to professionals and the identity checks Stripe requires for payouts; fraud screening | Name, e-mail, payment details, payout account details, transaction data |
| Twilio | Sends the verification codes by text message (Twilio Verify) | Phone number |
| Google Fonts | IP address and browser data | |
| jsDelivr, cdnjs (Cloudflare), the jQuery CDN and BootstrapCDN | Deliver style and script libraries used by our pages | IP address and browser data |
| Our e-mail hosting provider | Hosts the mailboxes that receive the messages you send to our addresses | Whatever you write to us |
We also disclose information:
- to other users, as described in Section 4;
- when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities;
- to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or WeeFindPro, including to investigate fraud or a breach of our Terms;
- to a buyer or successor if the business is reorganized, merged or sold, subject to this policy;
- with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. No advertising or analytics tag runs on WeeFindPro. If we ever add one, we will update this policy first and offer the choices the law requires.
6. Cookies, local storage and third-party content
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in and remembers your language and your progress in forms. The session itself is stored on our servers. Marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. |
Until you sign out or the session expires |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session |
wee_ref |
Set only when you arrive through a partner's referral link. Holds only the partner's referral code, so the partner can be credited if you create a client account. Marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; it is removed when you finish signing up. |
30 days |
wee-display-mode |
Set only when you use the installed app, to show the app layout instead of the website layout. | 1 year |
We also store small items in your browser's local and session storage (for example, whether the app is installed and how many pages you viewed before we suggest installing it), and our service worker keeps copies of pages and files on your device so the app loads faster and works briefly offline.
Third-party content. Our pages load fonts and libraries from Google Fonts and the content networks listed in Section 5, and Stripe's script on payment pages. When your browser loads them, those providers receive your IP address and browser information and may set or read their own cookies under their own policies.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in.
7. E-mails, notifications and text messages
- E-mails: we send the e-mails the service needs — account verification and password reset, request and visit updates, payment and refund notices, unread chat messages, proposals, invitations to review and partner notices. These are part of the service and are sent while you have an account. We do not send marketing e-mails today; if we start, we will ask for any consent the law requires and include a way to unsubscribe in each one.
- In-app notifications cover the same events.
- Text messages: we send text messages only to deliver the verification code you ask for when you add or confirm a phone number, through Twilio. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing text messages.
8. How long we keep information
- Account information is kept while your account is active. When an account is deactivated, it can no longer be used to sign in, but its information is not deleted automatically; our team can restore it. You can ask us to delete your information (Section 12).
- Payment records (amounts, statuses, refunds, payouts and their references) are kept for as long as needed to meet accounting, tax and legal obligations and to handle refunds, chargebacks and claims. They are kept even if the related account is deleted.
- Requests, chat messages, proposals and reviews are kept with the account. We do not yet delete them on a fixed schedule.
- Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically, unless we need them to investigate a security incident or the law requires us to keep them.
- Backups of the database are kept for 14 days, so information deleted from the platform can remain in a backup for up to 14 days.
We are setting specific retention periods for each category. When we do, we will update this section.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the website, the app and our API;
- passwords stored only as hashes;
- an encrypted database in a private network, reachable only by our application;
- access limited by role (client, professional, partner, administrator), with server-side checks on who owns each record;
- a record of sensitive actions by our administrative team, including every time support reads a chat;
- limits on repeated attempts, for example on sign-in and on requests for text-message codes;
- security headers on our pages.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
10. Where information is processed
Our platform is hosted in the United States. Some providers listed in Section 5 may process information in other countries, under their own safeguards.
11. Children
WeeFindPro is only for people 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and do not accept accounts for anyone younger. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has given us information, write to contact@weefindpro.com and we will delete it.
12. Your choices and rights
In your account you can view and update your profile, addresses and phone number, and remove saved cards.
Closing your account. Write to contact@weefindpro.com from the e-mail address of the account; where your account settings offer the option, you can also do it there. An account cannot be closed while it has an open visit or a payment in progress; we will tell you what is still open, and the account can be closed once those are finished.
Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We do not offer a self-service download; we will prepare the copy and send it to you in a common electronic format. When we delete information, we keep only what we must keep by law or need for the purposes described in Section 8 (for example, payment records), and we will tell you what we kept.
State privacy rights. Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or others with similar laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; to obtain a copy in a portable format; and to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or such profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request. E-mail contact@weefindpro.com. We will confirm your identity — usually by asking you to write from, or confirm access to, the e-mail address of your account — and answer within the time the applicable law requires. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows; we may ask for proof of the authorization. If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer; we will review the decision and tell you the result.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Each version has a version identifier and an effective date at the top. We will notify you of material changes by e-mail or by a notice in the app before they take effect.
